Kehinde Akande obtained his National Diploma in Insurance from The
Polytechnic Ibadan, Nigeria in 1989 and started his career in Insurance
with Trans Nigeria Assurance Company in December of the same year as
a Life & Pension Underwriting Officer. He was later moved to the
Motor/Marine department as an Underwriter.
In 1991, Kenny (as fondly called by friends and family)was admitted into a
two year Higher National Diploma program in Insurance at The Polytechnic
Ibadan, Nigeria which he successfully completed in 1993. In 1994, he was
on a one year National Assignment (National Youth Service Corps program - a compulsory
National Assignment for graduates under the age of 30) with Nnewi North Local Government in
Anambra State, Nigeria as a Community Developer/Insurance Officer. And from May, 1995 to
December, 1995, he worked as an Insurance Sales Agent for major Insurance companies in Nigeria.
Mr. Akande later joined A.I.C. Limited (an Engineering Consulting Firm) in January of 1996 as an
Insurance Officer and by 1998, he was promoted to the post of a Risk/Insurance Manager a
position he held till 2002.
In 2001, he successfully completed and was awarded a Masters Degree in Managerial Psychology
by the University of Ibadan School of Postgraduate Studies. He also successfully completed in 2002
a certificate course in Insurance Proficiency conducted by the Chartered Insurance Institute of
Nigeria.
Of recent (February, 2005), Mr. Akande obtained a Chartered Certificate in Management and was
admitted as an Associate Member of the Nigeria Institute of Management.
Kehinde Olufemi Akande is the MD/CEO of Keystone Consult Limited and also the Chairman of
Maocaso Nigeria Limited - an Interior/Exterior Decor firm. He is married with children. He loves to socialize and spend time with family and friends and also play Chess and Monopoly in his spare time.
